Bafana striker Mothiba missing in action

South African striker Lebo Mothiba has not reported for national team duty.

Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki has confirmed that the RC Strasbourg Alsace striker is not in camp with the national team that is preparing to take on Madagascar in a friendly match on Saturday afternoon at the Orlando stadium.

There is no indication on when the striker will arrive in camp with just one day to go before match day.

“I think the manager and executive committee (Safa) are working on it, to see what might be the problem with him… whether he has missed his flight or if there are some other challenges. As of now he is not with the team,” Ntseki told the Daily Sun.

Meanwhile, Ntseki has indicated he will not be reinventing his own new style of play as he looks to build a strong Bafana squad.

“I’ve been with these players for the past three years. I’m not reinventing anything,” said Ntseki.

“I’m just bringing in my philosophy… and to also try understanding the players’ personalities coming from different backgrounds,” added Ntseki.
