Molefi Ntseki named permanent Bafana Bafana head coach

Molefi Ntseki was on Saturday named as permanent head coach of Bafana Bafana by the South African Football Association.

Ntseki had already given the job in a caretaker role following the resignation of Stuart Baxter last month, and had already named his squad for the September 7 friendly against Zambia in Lusaka.

After a National Executive Committee meeting yesterday, however, Safa announced that they had decided to give Ntseki the job on a permanent basis.

Molefi Ntseki has been appointed new Bafana Bafana coach. He was unanimously endorsed by the entire SAFA NEC,” read a tweet from Bafana Bafana’s official account.

Ntseki is now set to lead Bafana in their bid to qualify for both the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar. The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers are set to begin in November.
