Ex-Pirates midfielder close to Chippa move

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Lehlogonolo Masalesa is set to sign for Chippa United after his contract with Black Leopards expires.

Masalesa is set to join Chippa United from Leopards after management at Leopards couldn’t convince him to agree to a new contract with the Limpopo based outfit.

United could be his new home should Masalela agree to sign the contract offered to him by the club.

According to Phakaaathi sources, Chippa United have tabled an offer for the player and are waiting for him to sign.

Masalesa’s exploits last season with Leopards attracted interest from Chippa United who offered him a contract after learning that his contract with Lidoda Duvha expires in June.

“He didn’t show up at Leopards when the team returned for pre-season this week,” a source told Phakaaathi. “He is going to join Chippa United, they have offered him a contract.”
