Khune: The league will be decided on the last day
Kaizer Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune says the result of Saturday’s game against Orlando Pirates will not have any impact on their race for the Absa premiership title.
With the team sitting on fourth position on the league table after collecting 34 points, Amakhosi are just one point behind log leaders SuperSport United and Khune believes the title will be decided on the last day of the season.
“There are many teams who stand a good chance of winning the league from position one to five we are all close on points. So I say the league will be won on the last day,” said the skipper.
Chiefs go into the Derby as favourites having had endured quite a good run in the last six games, while the Buccaneers have went 10 games without a win.
