Lebese feels the heat at Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns winger George Lebese has admitted that he is feeling the pressure of fighting for a starting berth in Pitso Mosimane's squad.

Lebese joined Sundowns from Kaizer Chiefs at the start of the season after complaining about the lack of game time under Steve Komphela.

However the winger has struggled to cement a starting place at Sundowns.

“Scoring a goal and playing helps bring back the confidence. It is not easy (to start a game) but one tries to be in the right condition. I need to wait for my chance to come because players that play in the same position as me have been doing well,” Lebese told Isolezwe after a game against Polokwane City.

Lebese scored a goal in Sundowns’ 3-2 defeat to City over the weekend and was substituted in the second half.

Lebese admits that he is not yet fit with coach Pitso Mosimane telling the media in the post-match interview that Lebese asked to be substituted.
