Maritzburg no longer interested in Buchanan

Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia has confirmed that his club are no longer interested in signing Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Keagan Buchanan.

Buchanan is reportedly looking for a move away from Chiefs due to lack of game time and the Team of Choice were thought to be after his services. However Kadodia has poured water on Buchanan’s move to United.

“Our coach (Fadlu Davids) have other thoughts about him,” Kadodia told The Sunday Tribune.

“We are no longer interested. We are not going to chase players in this transfer window period, but we will go for particular ones we need. We signed Bokang Tlhone because we’ve been searching for an out-and-out left back for a while now,” Kadodia concluded.
