Discarded Chiefs player still looking for new club

The 25year-old Mahlatsi is a free agent.

Still without a club after being let go by Kaizer Chiefs, a source close to attacking midfielder Kamohelo Mahlatsi has revealed that the player has been in contact with certain clubs in a bid to find a new home.

The 25-years old Mahlatsi has been without a club since leaving the Naturena-based outfit.

Mahlatsi was brought into the Chiefs camp to help revive Amakhosi, who have not won a trophy for over eight years.

But the midfielder found it hard to break into the Chiefs starting line-up and spent most of his time in the stands watching his teammates play.

The source reveals that Mahlatsi is not happy about what transpired at Chiefs, but he is just crossing his fingers to show his worth at his new team soon.

The source didn’t want to reveal the name of the club’s Mahlatsi have been communicating with, but, this publication understands that the midfielder has been in touch with Moroka Swallows and SuperSport United.

“I don’t think any player who was in Mahlatsi’s situation would be at a good place with himself during that time at Chiefs, especially when you know that you have the ability to help the club,” a source told the Mgosi squad.

‘Looking forward to playing football again’

“I don’t know what went wrong, and why he was not playing. But, he has made peace with that and he is looking forward to playing football again. He has been talking with some clubs for a move”

“I don’t want to name the clubs just yet, I just want to see him signing and let you know that it’s a done deal.

“He has been training very hard and he just can’t wait to be on the pitch again. He needs a chance and hopefully that chance will come very soon. His mates are playing week in and week out at their respective clubs, he wants that as well. I am sure he wherever he goes he will be a valuable asset to them.”
