Mumble outlines Baxter’s mandate

By Phakaaathi Reporter

Baxter has to qualify for the 2018 Fifa World Cup and the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, according to Mumble.

“Benchmarks from a performance stand point is the World Cup and the Afcon. We will play in Cosafa Castle Cup and Chan but those are not benchmarks, we want to qualify for the world Cup and Afcon,” said Mumble.

“Our contract length is four years, from one world cup to the next one, there is a year left in this cycle so we take it to the next cycle, we will conduct regular reviews with the technical committee to measure how well the coach is doing.”

Baxter’s first game in charge of Bafana will be against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Uyo on June 10.
