Solomons to assist Menzo at Ajax

Ajax Cape Town have confirmed their new technical team for the 2017/18 season, with former Santos FC coach Boebie Solomons roped in as the new assistant coach to Stanley Menzo.


Ajax CEO Ari Efstathiou is delighted with the Solomons appointment, and says the well-travelled coach will bring vast of experience in the Ajax team.

“Boebie brings a wealth of experience required to assist Stanley in terms on knowledge about the local game. He is well-travelled, a Capetonian with a great resume, and will bring valuable experience to our stellar coaching team,” Efstathiou told the club’s website.

The rest of the new technical team at the club sees Mich d’Avray being appointed as the head of football at the team, having served as an assistant to Menzo last season.

Former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Hans Vonk has been named as the new head of youth, while Duncan Crowie has been appointed as the head coach of Young Ajax teams (MDC and ABC Motsepe).
