Tinkler aware of Zambian challenge

SuperSport United coach Eric Tinkler admits his side are in for a tough match in Zambia for their Caf Confederation Cup quarterfinal second leg clash against Zesco United.

Zesco and Matsatsantsa played to a goalless draw in the in the first leg in Pretoria last Friday.

“We are not in the best position going into the second leg but it is not too bad either. I am happy that we kept a clean sheet even though a goal would have been ideal. We have no choice but to go out and look for a goal or two in Zambia for us to proceed further in the competition but so do they. This will work well for both teams as we will go at each other and play openly,” Tinkler told Caf online.

“They are a quality side with a very good coach. They are well organised and not easily breakable. They can hurt you on the counter and now that we going to their home ground, they will be more open to attacking us. We will have to be very smart in how we approach them but this is football and anything is possible if you believe,” said Tinkler.

SuperSport and Zesco are set to meet at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on Saturday.
