We played a part in Tinkler leaving – Furman

SuperSport United captain Dean Furman says Matsatsantsa players had a hand in coach Eric Tinkler resigning.

Tinkler stepped down as United coach over the weekend after admitting that he had lost the dressing room.

Furman says he had a good working relationship with Tinkler and holds winning the MTN 8 with the outgoing coach as one of his best moments at the club.

“It is important for us as players to reflect and take responsibility for the club’s poor form. We need to take part of the blame because we are playing on the field. In the games that we lost we made the mistakes. It is difficult because we played well but we are not winning,” Furman was quoted by Isolezwe.

“It is difficult to turn our fortunes around, again we play well but things are not going our way. I am confident that will get over the bad run of form.”
