Property and loose assets

Phalaborwa is situated on the banks of the Olifantsriver in the eastern part of Limpopo. To many tourists it is considered an African jewel, and it is often regarded as the oasis of the north because of its lush tropical foliage.

Phalaborwa is also home to the renowned Hans Merensky championship golf course and country club where golfers have encountered an amazing variety of wildlife during a round.

The place has an abundance of wildlife and tourists mostly favour the area during winter because of the warmer climate.

Phalaborwa is 3km from the Kruger National Park and the economy thrives on eco-tourism, private game reserves and top rated hospitality and vacation facilities. The tourism industry of Phalaborwa is growing at such a rapid pace that it makes it hard to believe that the town actually has its roots in the mining industry.

An impressive place of interest is the view of the largest man-made hole, which is an open cast copper mine.

Phalaborwa has a well-developed economy and CBD with a sizable industrial area, a thriving mining industry and adequate amenities serving an extensive community.

On September 19, Van’s Auctioneers will sell three industrial properties as well as loose assets.

The first two properties, at 2020, 1st Avenue, Phalaborwa, are adjacent to each other and include a variety of top rate improvements. These two portions will be offered separately and jointly.

The third property, at 2036, 6th Avenue, Phalaborwa, will be sold as a separate lot and is 2 6588 hectares in extent, the property includes workshop facilities. There is approved subdivision for this property into two portions.

The final lot of the auction includes a huge range of loose assets. Trucks and other vehicles will be auctioned, as well as ultra-modern and highly specialised equipment and machinery for mining and precision engineering purposes. There is also a great range of office furniture and appliances.

The properties and loose assets will be sold at 2020, 1st Avenue, Phalaborwa Industrial Sites, Phalaborwa Extension 5 and the auction will proceed from 11am.
