Nomzamo Mbatha set to leave Isibaya
Isibaya actress Nomzamo Mbatha has announced she will be leaving the popular local soapie.

This came to light when she shared on her Facebook page last week that she would be saying good-bye to her character.
” Yesterday, I cried. I sobbed because for the first time in my life I understood what it must feel like to give birth to a child, nurse it and then put it in a basket and leave it on someone’s doorstep. Yesterday, I wailed. I wailed because my soul cried out to God to stop all that He was doing, come down and hold me so that I am reminded that He will never forsake me.
“Because liberation out of love, has never felt so painful. Yesterday, I was broken I was leaving my family, it was my last slate. Mine and my S’dums. Sdumo Mtshali, there will never be another. Your talent. Your love. Your spirit. Your friendship. We.Did.It. We made SA believe. Thank you all. For believing in my journey.
Goodbye Thandeka. Goodbye sweet girl.”
There have been reports that Nomzamo may be joining the Muvhango cast soon. There has also been speculation that Sdumo Mtshali may also be leaving the soapie, with the Isibaya facebook page posting a message “Goodbye to Thandeka and Sbu”.
The news of Nomzamo’s exit raises a number of questions about the future of her character. Currently, Sbu and Thandeka’s lobola negotiations have started and how far will their love affair go? How will the two make the exit from the soapie?
