Ukhozi FM punishes defiant DJ Chilli M
Vukani Masinga, better known as Ukhozi FM DJ Chilli M, has been reprimanded for not showing up for a scheduled meeting with management, who pulled him off air over the weekend.

SundayWorld reports that the DJ’s Kanakele show on Friday, 7 – 11 pm, and his Chillaz slot on Saturday 6 – 9pm, was taken over by other presenters of the Durban-based radio station, after he snubbed a meeting with the big wigs.
SABC spokesman Kaizer Kganyago confirmed the isiZulu station’s current issue with Masinga, saying: “The station wanted to meet him to discuss work issues and he did not avail himself. The station then decided that he will not go on air until he meets management.”
However, Kganyango would not be drawn on the exact nature of these “work issues”.
DJ Chilli M has a history of getting into trouble with management. He was also dropped from the line-up during his time at YFM, after a heated on-air argument with his producer got out of hand. Six months later he was suspended for playing a song not on the station’s scheduled playlist.
