L-Tido’s podcast secures broadcast deal with DStv

The rapper’s show will debut on Mzansi Wethu this Thursday.


Rapper L-Tido, real name Thato Madonsela, has landed a broadcast deal, with his podcast officially joining the DStv platform.

The L-Tido Podcast will air every Thursday at 9:30pm on Mzansi Wethu, channel 163 on DStv.

Launched in 2022, the podcast has featured a range of unfiltered interviews with some of Mzansi’s biggest celebrities, including the late AKA, Boity, Pearl Thusi, Emtee, and, most recently, Anele Zondo.

DStv backs podcast shows

In March, MultiChoice announced that eight original podcasts would be broadcast across its DStv platforms.

Since the announcement, the broadcaster has cut ties with at least two shows — Lasizwe’s Awkward Dates and MacG’s Podcast and Chill.

DStv’s digital distribution partner, Leading Edge Growth CEO Lufuno Maliavusa, indicated in May that the first seasons of both shows were coming to an end, paving the way for new content.

Digital Satellite Television (DSTV) podcast
