Recipe: Mamie Taylor cocktail

Dive into a ginger and lime paradise.

Whilst only some situations may call for a celebration, most call for a cocktail. Fortunately, with the 27th of March being International Whisky Day, we can have both!

When something is assigned as “International” it means that everyone from around the globe is invited to participate. With that in mind, we’d suggest that you celebrate this day – and every other day – with the world’s most trending Scotch whisky, Monkey Shoulder.

Named the most trending Scotch whisky brand by the world’s top 100 cocktail bars for the third year running, Monkey Shoulder reveals the bold Mamie Taylor cocktail to commemorate this special day.

Since simplicity is often considered a hidden gem in the whisky category, we realise you may prefer to enjoy a dram of Monkey Shoulder neat. We say go for it! Whatever tickles your fancy.

For those who prefer a cocktail, the Mamie Taylor is infused with ginger ale and garnished with lime wedges – the perfect mix of flavours to highlight the unique taste of Monkey Shoulder. Apparently, it tastes like you’re a swan-diving into a ginger and lime paradise – speedo optional.

The duo of ginger and whisky highlights the authentic spirit of Monkey Shoulder and the bold care that goes into creating the one-of-a-kind taste that makes the award-winning Scotch whisky exquisite, from the first sip to the last drop.

Ingredients

50ml Monkey Shoulder
80ml Ginger Ale
1 fresh lime wedge

1. Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass.

2. Stir gently with a bar spoon, we suggest the Monkey Shoulder iSpoon, a long teaspoon or a chopstick, until the glass or jar feels nice and cold.

3. Carefully fill long glass with ice.

4. Garnish with lime wedge.
