Garnet edged crimson. Slightly brooding black fruit aromas, faint smokey whiffs, plush on the palate, very polished tannins savoury food friendly finish.

2010 Elgin Vintners Pinot Noir

 

Tasting Notes

Pale, black-edged, cerise. Slightly herbal, cherry, strawberry notes, very closed, taut, some fruit density but acidic; edgy greenness still dominates. Spicy, long overt oaky (but not over-lean) finish dominates.
