Logitech Pebble 2 review: Compact companion for minimalist travellers

The Logitech Pebble 2 Combo is a compact and eco-friendly keyboard and mouse duo perfect for travellers and minimalist setups.

In the realm of compact, travel-friendly tech, the Logitech Pebble 2 series stands out as a noteworthy contender. It boasts a minimalist design that doesn’t compromise on functionality.

The lightweight Pebble 2 combo was delivered to my doorstep just in time for a solo trip to Limpopo. And since I planned to take only one backpack, it was the perfect opportunity to test the mouse and keyboard duo on the road.

Logitech Pebble 2 review

Indulge me for a moment while I tell you why this delightful little combo earned its place in my travel gear, replacing my previous travel keyboard that never quite felt “just right”.

Design and build

The Logitech Pebble 2 is available in five subtle yet stylish colours:

  • Tonal Graphite,
  • Tonal White,
  • Tonal Rose,
  • Tonal Sand, and
  • Tonal Blue.

Both the Pebble 2 K380s keyboard and the Pebble 2 M350s showcase a minimalist aesthetic, making a strong style statement.

And let’s face it, setting up your workspace properly—with gadgets that are easy to use and pleasing to look at—boosts productivity.

The Pebble Combo is also crafted from a minimum of 49% post-consumer recycled plastic. The packaging is responsibly sourced, reflecting Logitech’s commitment to eco-conscious design.

Performance and customisation

Logitech has equipped the Pebble Keys 2 with its proprietary Silent Touch Technology, ensuring a quiet typing experience ideal for shared workspaces.

The keyboard offers that “feel-good typing” experience I’m also chasing, with each rounded key featuring a slight indentation and a low profile.

The downsides are no adjust feet and no visible Caps lock light. Since I used it mostly on the go, the lack of adjustability didn’t really bother me. The no-Caps-light was a bit irritating at first, but I soon got used to the Caps key placement, preventing accidental presses.

The keyboard is comfortable, tactile, and responsive. It provides a satisfying typing experience, which is no small feat given personal preferences. Anyone who knows me knows I take my keyboards very, very seriously.

Connectivity

The Easy-Switch button allows you to toggle between up to three devices across multiple operating systems, providing flexibility and convenience.

The wireless range extends up to 10 metres, meaning you’d connect easily regardless of whether you’re at home or on the go.

And the customisation of function keys and mouse buttons is made straightforward with the Logi Options+ app, allowing users to tailor the device to their individual needs.

Battery life and portability

With a battery life of three years for the keyboard and two years for the mouse, the Logitech Pebble 2 ensures you stay connected and powered up, ready to tackle any task at hand.

The compact and lightweight design of both the keyboard and mouse makes the Pebble 2 an ideal travel companion.

Weighing just 415g for the keyboard and 76g for the mouse, it won’t weigh you down, no matter where your journey takes you.

Logitech Pebble 2: Pricing and conclusion

The Pebble 2 offers great value, with the keyboard priced at R999, the mouse at R599, and the combo at R1499.

Given the performance, design, and battery life, it’s a small investment for a big upgrade to your on-the-go setup. It’s more than just a “pretty face”.

This portable mouse and keyboard combo is a powerful and pleasing addition to any mobile workspace. It’s sleek, it’s eco-friendly, and it just makes work feel good.

Pros:

  • Compact and lightweight design, perfect for travel
  • Easy customisation via Logi Options+ app
  • Long battery life ensures reliability
  • Good connectivity; supports up to three devices
  • Attractive and eco-conscious design

Cons:

  • No adjustable feet for angled typing (though still comfortable)
