Teknikens Värld conducted this test initially in 2007 when they admitted to being caught slightly off guard by the poor handling and stability of the Hilux. Now, nine years later, nothing has changed despite the fact that the new Toyota model is equipped with electronic stability control.
The publication is quoted as saying, “Something is seriously wrong with Toyota’s dynamic safety system”
Toyota responded to the findings by stating that, “We were surprised by the test result, and we will take your evaluation very seriously.”
