The grade fives of Hazyview Primary were amazed by the beauty of the Lowveld landscape and learnt more about the Blyde Canyon during their educational trip on July 29 and 30.
It started with a boat trip on the Blyde River, where the learners enjoyed the splendour of the third largest canyon in the world, the abundance of wildlife and learned more about the natural history of the Blyde Canyon. They visited the Kadishi tufa waterfall, which is the second highest tufa waterfall on earth at 200m, and explored the Blyde River Dam wall.
The next stops were Manoutsa Park and Tshukudu game farm. The pupils went on open-air game drives, accompanied by skilled and experienced rangers and had the chance to touch cheetahs at Tshukudu.
