Broken valve reason for water interruption
The contractors are busy connecting a temporary pipeline to ensure that households will, while the valve is being fixed, at least receive some water supply.

LYDENBURG – TCM told the Steelburger/Lydenburg News that the reason for the interrupted water supply is on account of a broken valve.
Mr. Puleng Mapheto, Communication Officer at TCM said that while the new main pipeline was being connected to the reservoir one of the valves broke. “The contractors are busy connecting a temporary pipeline to ensure that households will, while the valve is being fixed, can at least receive some water supply.”
He said that it could take six hours to fix the valve and lay the temporary pipeline. “But, to pump the reservoir full, could take another two hours. We are, however, hard at work fixing the broken valve. We apologise to the residents for this unforeseen event, but assures them that we are working around the clock to get it fixed. The households which do have water should please use it sparingly.”
