Local companies tackle hole issue

Tired of ducking and diving on the roads? Well, local companies have come together to fix the blight of potholes.

LYDENBURG – Tired of ducking and diving on the roads? Well, local companies have come together to fix the blight of potholes.

The poorly maintained local roads have been a topic of the town for a while.

Various companies have now embarked on projects to repair the town’s potholes.

Prosperity Holdings, High Point Trading, Mihaly and Riet Fontein Packaging are some of the companies in Lydenburg that have started road repair projects.

The companies will focus mainly on Joubert Street. According to Mr Jan Benson from Prosperity Holdings, the companies came together when they saw the damage on the roads was getting worse on a daily bases.

“Our companies are situated in Joubert Street and it is our customers’ entrance to our businesses. We also use the same road every day and are tired of ducking and diving the potholes, our cars are getting damaged and it is becoming unsafe for all of us,” he explained.
