Sixteen tourists involved in accident
Various tourists from Belgium, England, Australia and the USA were heading for the Kruger National Park when their tour bus collided head-on with a truck travelling towards town.
LYDENBURG – Sixteen tourists were involved in yet another head-on collision on the Ohrigstad Road on Saturday.
Various tourists from Belgium, England, Australia and the USA were heading for the Kruger National Park when their tour bus collided head-on with a truck travelling towards town.
Yet again, the cause of this accident was that the truck overtook another vehicle on a solid line and blind turn.
According to Mr Deon Broekman, hazmat operator, the driver of the vehicle, Mr Pieter van Heerden, who works for Sable Tours made the crucial decision to either collide head-on with the truck or risk possibly killing the other passengers in the car which the truck was overtaking.
