Bodies of two women found in Mbombela

The bodies were discovered in two separate incidents this morning.

MBOMBELA – Police are looking for information that will help in the investigation of two bodies of women which were discovered in separate incidents this morning.

First to be discovered was the partially decomposed body of a 39-year-old woman at a farm in Karino near Mbombela. The victim’s body was spotted by an on duty farm employee who summoned police. When police arrived at the scene they found the body covered with branches. It was discovered that the victim had been reported missing since last Saturday.

The second body was spotted by a passer-by in the bushes at Alroe Park in Mbombela, who alerted the police. Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered the half-naked body of the victim estimated to be in her early thirties with stab wounds.

In both incidents no one has been arrested and post-mortems will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. Police are appealing to any person with information to contact Lieutenant Colonel Erhard Ströh at 082-303-9658.
