Two murders in Mbombela being investigated

No one has been arrested in relation to the deaths.

MBOMBELA – Police are still requesting information that will help in murder investigations after the bodies of two women were discovered on Friday morning.
According to local police spokesman, Capt Dawie Pretorius, two cases of murder have been opened.
The first to be discovered was the partially decomposed body of a 40-year-old woman on a farm in Karino near Mbombela.
The victim’s body was spotted by an on-duty farm employee who summoned police.
When they arrived at the scene they found the body covered with branches. The victim was reported missing last Saturday.
The second body was found in the bush next to Andrew Street, Alroe Park, by a passer-by, who then alerted police. Upon arrival at the scene, the discovered the half-naked body of the 31-year-old woman. She had been stabbed.
Post-mortems will be conducted to determine the cause of the deaths. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact Lt Col Erhard Ströh on 082-303-9658 or WO Eli Mukari on 082-508-6102.
