Robbers hit fast-food franchise
They ordered the employees to lie down on the floor, and proceeded to one of the rooms inside the restaurant where employees were busy counting money.

LYDENBURG – Lydenburg’s KFC was robbed of R14 000 by two men last Sunday night.
The eatery is located in Voortrekker Street. The robbery occurred around 22:00 after the outlet had closed for business that day. According to Lydenburg police spokesman, Sgt Elizabeth Selwaletau Magoa, the two suspects were armed.
“When they arrived at KFC, the door was closed. They pointed their firearms through the glass doors at a security guard who was inside and ordered him to open the door.
“He opened the door and they entered,” she said.
They ordered the employees to lie down on the floor, and proceeded to one of the rooms inside the restaurant where employees were busy counting money.
They took R14 000 and fled the scene. Everything happened in a flash of an eye,” Magoa said.
No one was injured during the robbery. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the local police station.
