Five men, including rape accused, escape from custody

An appeal is made to members of the community not to confront any of these fugitives.

 

The Acornhoek and Bushbuckridge police are looking for five suspects who escaped from the Acornhoek holding cells in the early hours of yesterday morning.

It is reported that around 05:00, the members on duty at the Community Service Centre (CSC) went to visit the holding cells, whereupon they noticed that five suspects have escaped, leaving behind three.

• Tshireledzo Makhadzi aged 26, arrested for housebreaking, theft and theft out of motor vehicle.

• Sabatha Maboi aged 24, arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm as well as ammunition and business robbery.

• Prosperity Moeng aged 31, arrested for suspected rape.

• Floyd Mashaba aged 28, arrested for assault (gbh), theft and kidnapping of a minor.

• Katekani Lubisi aged 25, arrested for assault (gbh) ,theft and kidnapping.
