Police find 16 large bags of dagga in Tonga home
Community involvement has proved essential in fighting crime and again paid off on Monday, when police found 16 bags of dagga in a house in Tonga.
TONGA – According to Const Nomsa Luphoko, local police were tipped off late on Sunday night that suspects had a large amount of dagga in their house.
The headed to the house around 00:30, the early hours of Monday morning, and found three suspects and the 16 bags of dagga in the building.
Johan Malwane (24), Musa Malwane (48) and Erick Sibiya (32) were arrested and appeared in the Nkomazi Magistrate’s Court that day.
They were granted bail of R700 and are scheduled to appear in court soon.

The dagga trade seems to have picked up recently again and police urge community members to report any criminal activity relating to the dagga trade.
