BURGERSFORT – The local business is encouraging South Africans to get their Covid-19 jabs.
“As employers we have significant influence on alleviating the Covid-19 pandemic by encouraging our employees to vaccinate. “Here at Cheap Cheap, management took the initiative to get the entire company workforce of 87 people vaccinated. This is to create a safe working environment for all,” said owner, Wilri Truter.

She said posters and reading material on Covid-19 were posted all over the store, advice was given and incentives offered. The vaccinations were administered by trusted pharmacist, Emmanuel Manngo.

“We made arrangements with Manngo, the pharmacist and owner of Kalapeng Pharmacy, to vaccinate between five and 10 employees a day. He was so incredibly supportive, accommodating and helpful to our team,” added the management.

Cheap Cheap challenged all businesses in the Burgersfort, Lydenburg and Mbombela areas to follow suite and vaccinate their staff.

“Let’s make our area safe for our families, our customers and ourselves. With a positive attitude and encouraging vaccine literacy, we can stop the contagion in our communities”

All Kalapeng pharmacies in Burgersfort and Burmed Pharmacy in Steelpoort and KaBokweni are ready to assist locals with vaccination. They are among the local pharmacies charged with administering the Covid-19 vaccine and are encouraging locals to sign up to receive the shot Manngo said locals can book an appointment, or they can walk in or drive-thru.

“We are currently offering Covid-19 vaccines to everyone above 18 years. We have appointment options at all of our Kalapeng pharmacies that you can choose from throughout the day/week.

Those interested in having their jabs are encouraged to register on the Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS) to shorten the waiting period. Walk-ins will still be allowed.
