Final valediction assembly for Uplands Matric Class of 2021 a memorable occasion

The Uplands Matric Class of 2021, special guests, parents, teachers and fellow pupils attended the final valediction assembly on Friday October 8.

The deputy head mentors, Amani Omar and Khunjulwa Sithole, shared memories of the class’s five years at Uplands. Some of them have been at Uplands since grade 000, which has given them the privilege of being on campus for 15 years.

The college’s head, Heidi Rea, and the deputy head for pastoral care and discipline, Vincent Gelderbloem, both addressed the class of 2021 and wished them well for the forthcoming exams and for their future studies and adventures.

The service was followed by the ringing of the school bell and a delicious brunch for the matrics and their parents.
