Quiz boffins shine at Scifest 2021
Penryn College placed third and fourth in the Scifest Rhodes University High School Quiz 2021, also being the only school in the competition to have two teams in the top five.
MBOMBELA – Penryn’s marketing manager, Liesl Scheepers, said a total of 38 teams from various schools participated in the quiz with categories including maths, physics, chemistry, earth sciences, technology, animals and plants.
The function was hosted online and required the competing teams to be accurate, as well as fast with their responses in order to maximise their points. Scheepers said the school was very proud of the teams and their achievements.
