Jimny madness is coming to White River

From September 23 to 26, 2027, the little car with the biggest heart takes over the Lowveld.

The third Jimny Gathering – now officially the largest gathering of Suzuki Jimny owners anywhere in the world – sets up camp just outside White River, and this time the whole family is invited along for the ride.

After two record-breaking editions in Clarens and the Garden Route, the #JimnyFam is packing up again, and comedian and Jimny owner Schalk Bezuidenhout returns for a third time running as the weekend’s host. If you caught him in 2023 and 2025, you’ll know exactly what kind of energy to expect on the mic this time round.

The action is centred around Klipkopjes Dam, where hundreds of Jimnys – from brand-new models to beloved old SJs and LJs – will roll in for a long weekend of camping under the Lowveld stars. By day, convoys will fan out across the region’s 4×4 trails, tackling everything from gentle farm tracks to proper technical terrain, all set against the granite koppies and bushveld scenery that make Mpumalanga one of South Africa’s great overlanding playgrounds.

The Suzuki Safari Town Music Festival returns as the beating heart of the weekend, and it’s open to everyone – Jimny owner or not.

Expect a line-up of top local acts, food stalls, craft beer, and a family-friendly festival village where kids can run wild while the grown-ups catch up with old friends and make new ones. Between the music, the market stalls, and the sheer spectacle of a few thousand off-roaders in one place, it’s expected to be one of the Lowveld’s mustattend events on the calendar, regardless of what you drive. And then there’s the record attempt.

The Jimny Gathering has twice landed a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title – first for the most vehicles with headlights switched on simultaneously, then for the most car doors closed at once.

With this edition expected to be the biggest yet, all eyes are on White River to see what record falls next, and every Jimny on-site gets to be part of the attempt.

For White River and the surrounding Lowveld towns, that means a long weekend of full guesthouses, busy restaurants, and a proper injection of tourism buzz – not to mention a few thousand new visitors discovering everything the region has to offer.

Tickets and camping bookings are available now at www.jimnygathering.co.za.
