SPAR Lowveld is currently running its SPAR Brands Experience Hoop to Win challenge across all Mbombela outlets to give back to the community that supports them.

Lowvelder was on hand to witness the excitement at SUPERSPAR Crossing on August 28, where numerous customers walked away with prizes.

SPAR Lowveld’s sponsorship and events controller, Bella Mogane, explained that the challenge offers two ways for shoppers to win. Customers can either spin a prize wheel for an instant win or participate in the Hoop to Win challenge for a chance to take home R1 000 in groceries.

“To enter, customers simply need to purchase as many SPAR brand products as they can,” Mogane said. “They then present their till slips and are given a chance to spin the wheel or take a shot at the hoop, depending on the number of products purchased. The person who successfully hoops the most times stands a chance of winning groceries worth R1 000.”

Mogane confirmed that there were already winners from the August 28 event, some of whom had collected their prizes. She encouraged other winners to come forward and claim theirs.

In addition to the Hoop to Win challenge, SPAR is also running the My SPAR School Bucks campaign.

This separate competition gives customers who purchase any three SPAR-branded products a chance to give back to a school of their choice.

The winning school is selected at the end of each month over a period of six months. For August, Laerskool Bergland was the lucky recipient of a R50 000 cash prize for their school.
