The cloudy weather cleared just in time for the bride to walk down the aisle when Rev S Nchabeleng declared the lovers a married couple. Dressed in a dark-grey suit, the bridegroom Ramaube then danced with his wife who had donned a white flowing dress, both the partners greeted and waved at the guests as they made their way to the pulpit.
The newly-weds told Steelburger/Lydenburg News, “God has blessed us with more than we asked for today. We are truly honoured and humbled to share our day with all our friends and family. A big thank you to all who came to support us,” they said.
The couple has known each other for more than five years and vowed to remain in love forever. Dr RS Maoto addressed the crowd while the couple cut the the cake and the toast was proposed by well-known attorney, Mr Post Moloto.
More than enough food and drinks were provided for the guests. The programme included breakfast and starters which helped the guests soldier on to lunch at 15:00. The day ended on a high note when the heavens opened up and blessed the event with rain that was sorely missed.
