Juliana van Heerden, financial director at Soli Deo Gloria said, “We do not receive any government support and we are in distress. The need and help was phenomenal”.

“Dr Hattingh and Suretha Du Plessis have given us support from time to time. This was such an uplifting experience, and exciting, especially for the children, as some of them had never seen a helicopter up close,” said Van Heerden.

“It is heart warming to know that there are still people out there that care for others. The residents are very thankful and appreciative of this gesture. It is difficult in normal situations and now it is even worse. Although we live by faith and not by sight. And we thank God every day that He provides for us and takes care of us,” she explained.
