The passing of Piet van Zyl, the chief executive officer of York Timber Holdings Ltd, came as a shock to the community members of Sabie where he was well known, loved and respected for his contributions and hard work.
Van Zyl passed away on July 17 of Covid-19.
In an obituary shared on social media, the community and family expressed their grief by saying, “Words fall short of expressing our grief for your loss, as we mourn with the family of Piet van Zyl.
