Man accused of killing Nkomazi worker appears in court
The man is believed to be an SANDF officer and was thought to be the partner of the victim. The shooting occurred inside the municipal building on October 12.
The man accused of allegedly shooting and killing Nkomazi municipal worker Wandile Lucia Khoza (29) appeared in the Nkomazi Magistrate’s Court on Friday October 15.
Welcome Sambo (31) allegedly entered the Nkomazi Local Municipality on Tuesday October 12 just as Khoza was preparing to leave the office. An argument between the two ensued and he allegedly shot and killed her.

Sambo, who is believed to be an SANDF officer, was thought to be the partner of Khoza.
A provincial police spokesperson, Col Donald Mdhluli, said Sambo had handed himself over to the police the next day, and also handed his private firearm.
The court matter against Sambo was postponed to October 20 for him to appoint a legal representative.
