Vuurvliegie Street repairs to be completed by the end of November
Repairs to Vuurvliegie Street in Steiltes is expected to be completed by November 30.
The road was severely damaged due to the storms resulting from tropical cyclone Eloise in January.

City of Mbombela spokesperson, Joseph Ngala, said the high rainfall from the storm caused a rusted Armco pipe underneath the street to collapse, which caused a portion of the road to start collapsing.
He said the repairs on the street started in July and confirmed that it will be completed by the end of November. The earthworks were done last week.

He added that the repairs cost around R800 000.
