NOTICE | Electricity to be cut for 32 hours in parts of Mbombela

The City of Mbombela’s Department of Energy has informed residents of a planned interruption of electricity supply from 09:00 on Tuesday, January 7, until 17:00 the next day.

The electricity supply will be interrupted at the West Acres Substation (Block 14), and the outage will affect West Acres, The Rest Nature Estate, Sonheuwel, Stonehenge, Geelhout Avenue and surrounding areas, in order to allow the installation of new switchgear and do maintenance work on its substation equipment.

Macadamia Hospital (MCare Nelspruit), Tshwane University of Technology, Nelspruit Primary, Mediclinic Nelspruit, Hoërskool Bergvlam and others will also be without power.
