A stop-and-go was in place for more than eight hours while the scene was cleared.

The N4 near the bypass to Malalane and Barberton has been completely reopened following an accident between two trucks on Tuesday night, 23 September.

The trucks collided head-on at around 20:15, leading to the closure of the road in both directions and prompting motorists to use alternative routes. According to Martin Jeffrey of Emer-G-Med, one truck was loaded and the other empty. Both drivers were declared dead at the scene.
