Lowveld High’s sport teams up their game
Lowveld High School's sports teams did exceptionally well in both friendly and league matches last week.
LHS was host to Komatipoort Akademie’s u/15 and second rugby teams. The latter’s younger team narrowly won by 17-14 and the LHS second team had a well-deserved win of 35-7.
Over the weekend during the Ehlanzeni B-league play-offs at Hoërskool Rob Ferreira, LHS’s open-B team returned home as regional winners. They will now represent the region in the provincial finals in Witbank at the beginning of June.
The girls tennis team of LHS won their matches 36-19 against Curro Nelspruit. The first girls hockey team also continued their winning streak by beating Penryn College five goals to three.
In the Coca-Cola Cup, LHS’ soccer team also managed to claim a victory of 1-0 over Advisory College of Witbank.
