The Bryanston Country Club pro scored 119 points over the 54 holes.

Dean Nysschen finally achieved his dream of winning the PGA National Mbombela Pro-Am.

The Bryanston Country Club professional finished tied second in 2022 and tied sixth in 2023. At Mbombela Golf Club on Tuesday, November 11, he claimed the title with 119 individual Stableford points.

The tournament was played over 54 holes, from Sunday to Tuesday, October 9 to 11. Each of the 27 pros was matched with three amateurs and they competed in the team competition, using the four-ball alliance, two scores to count, format.

Nysschen scored 38 points on Sunday, 42 on Monday and 39 on Tuesday. “Over the years I could just not cross the line in this tournament. Calvin [Caldeira] won it numerous times; Ivano [Ficalbi] won it, I could never get it. This year I said I am going 20-under – if anyone beats me then good on them. I did not get 20-under, but I finally crossed the line. I will definitely be back,” said Nysschen at the prize-giving.

The new champ played 202 shots over the 54 holes, equating to a stroke-play score of 11 under par.
