Youngsters like fish in the water during gala
Preschools from all over the Lowveld joined in the swimming gala.
The Wildgeese preschool beginners progress gala was held in April.
Preschools that attended were Noddy’s, Little Lambs, Kinderland, Chunkey Monkeys, Wimrite and Wildgeese.
Rossow Dreyer, Rico Bawer-Kemp, Donicka Groenewald, Daniel Cope, Minke du Toit, Timon Swart, Lydia Makokga, Aletta Grimbeek, Nathan Lourens, Mika Abel, Tylo Bower-Kemp, Johanika Groenewald, Anika van Staden, Rikus van Jaarsveld, Ariell de Bruyn, Mia du Preez, Mine Vorster, Sinenhlanhla Swane and Kayla Thornbill all stood out as beginners.
Two other achievements were that of 12-year-old Simoné de Beer and 13-year-old Tristan David.
Both qualified for the SA Championships for level one and participated in Durban in April.
Simoné qualified for eight events and swam in the finals of seven. Tristan swam in six events and five finals. Each won of a gold and a silver medal.
