Farmworkers and hotel staff jabbed

POLOKWANE – The Limpopo MEC for health, Dr Phophi Ramathuba, visited The Ranch Hotel on Monday as part of the vaccination outreach programme for farmworkers and hotel staff.

Workers from Mockfords Farms, Neethling, Lunds Farms and the staff of The Ranch Hotel were vaccinated on the day.

This was part of stepping up the outreach Covid-19 vaccination programme.

The department is ensuring that all eligible farming community citizens receive vaccines without any difficulties.

“We are happy that our teams from the five Limpopo districts are working tirelessly and making efforts to take vaccines to every farming community within the province. We appreciate the cooperation from farm owners who provide infrastructure for us to vaccinate their employees and the farming community at no cost to the department.

“This time around we appreciated management of the The Ranch Hotel for offering their venue. This has been a trend across the province, where as a department we never had to pay for any site to vaccinate. We want to get as many people vaccinated and get our economy back on its feet,” said Ramathuba.

The Ranch Hotel staff were once again applauded for welcoming South Africans who came from Wuhan in China during the early days of Covid-19 in March last year.
The MEC expressed her gratitude to the staff for their patriotism during this time of great need.
