Slow truck movement persists at Lebombo Border

The heavy congestion at the Lebombo Border persists as the protests and violence in Mozambique escalate.

The continuous slow movement of trucks along the N4 highway at the Lebombo Port of Entry today, October 25, is affecting tourists, among others.

The situation is said to be volatile as there is an escalation of potential protests and violence on the Mozambican side of the border near Ressano Garcia.
There is a significant possibility that the border could remain temporarily closed or have all movement suspended in the interest of safety and security.
