Fifteen injured in Durban collision

Fifteen people were injured after a taxi and a car collided on Sydney Road near Hannah Road in Umbilo, Durban.

Garrith Jamieson from Rescue Care Paramedics said the scene was spread over approximately 300 metres, the Berea Mail reports.

“Multiple patients were injured so more ambulances were dispatched to the scene as well as advanced life support units.”

“A total of 15 patients had sustained various injuries and were stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital,” he said.

Jamieson said the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
