WATCH: Just another video of Mugabe ‘resting his eyes’ at an event
The president always dozes off in public these days, but his spokesperson says his medical condition forces him to rest his eyes.

A video of Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe “resting his eyes” at an event has recently resurfaced on social media, leaving social media users saying it is time the 93-year-old considered stepping down.
Mugabe has been in power since 1980 and does not seem to have any intention of stepping down, as he has been confirmed as a presidential candidate in the country’s 2018 elections.
Pictures and videos of Mugabe sleeping in meetings and events have been circulating on social media. Following a video of him sleeping at the World Economic Forum meeting in South Africa in May, his spokesperson, George Charamba, said Mugabe had a medical condition that made his eyes sensitive to bright lights.
However, in this video, Mugabe struggles to walk properly as he enters the stage at an event. Sitting also becomes a struggle, as he has to do it as slowly as possible. A few moments after the event starts, he “rests his eyes”.
