Pirates’ new coach really knows how to party

Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunts dancing skills are probably nothing compared to Sredojevic's.

Orlando Pirates on Thursday announced Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic as their new coach for the 2017/18 season, following Kjell Jonevret’s resignation on Wednesday.

Sredojevic, who coached Pirates during the 2006/07 season, become Bucs’ seventh head coach since 2014. Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza announced Sredojevic’s return to Pirates in a press conference on Thursday.

“We also welcome back Milutin Sredejovic, coach Micho. A man who’s integrity I respect.

“When he left, he left graciously. Now, he comes back with a great record and experiences throughout the continent,” said Khoza.

However, Khoza was probably not expecting some of the experiences Sredejovic will bring to the table to include his apparent partying life. The 47-year-old coached Uganda’s national team since 2013 until his resignation for Pirates.

Social media has done some digging just to find out what the new coach is all about and the results are hilarious. In a picture circulating on social media, the coach can be seen having the time of his life with four different women at his farewell party.

Sredejovic apparently danced the night away.

His picture divided social media users with some defending him, while some say it’s going to be a great season for Pirates.

Those who defended him said he was not the president and should be allowed to have fun. In fact, having a life did not mean he would fail at his job.

“People are wrong, now we are gonna judge him based on this even before he issues one instruction to his players,” said one.

Some Pirates fans said the team would get worse under the new coach.
