The top two teams in the Momentum One Day Cup, the Lions and the Dolphins, will clash this Friday at Senwes Park for a thrilling day/night encounter.
The match will start at 13:30 and will feature the top of the table Dolphins taking on the Imperial Lions in the final round robin match before the semi-finals.
This will be a match that both sides will want to win to keep up the momentum (pardon the pun) in their title ambitions.
Grant Roelofsen (517 runs at an average of 64.62) of the Dolphins and Ryan Rickelton (477 runs at an average of 53) of the Lions has been in superb form for their respective franchises.
Veteran left-arm spinner, Aaron Phangiso (16 wickets) has also rolled back the year’s with great performances for the Lions.
Expect a close encounter with a lot of runs this Friday as the Lions look to avenge the loss they suffered in Durban last week when they went down by 4 wickets.
In that match, Wihan Lubbe (85) made hay for the Lions, whilst another former team mates of Lubbe at the NWU, Marques Ackerman, also made a valiant 54 to take the Dolphins to victory.
