Dr. KK endure two narrow losses in a row

Elsunet du Plessis’s side lost 36-32 against Tshwane on day 1 (yesterday) before dropping the ball with a 34-32 defeat against Mangaung on day 2 today (9 August).

The 2022 Spar SA Netball Championships hasn’t started in the best way for hosts, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda.

They have had a tough start to the tournament with their Senior A team losing their first two matches against Tshwane and Mangaung respectively.
Elsunet du Plessis’s side lost 36-32 against Tshwane on day 1 (yesterday) before dropping the ball with a 34-32 defeat against Mangaung on day 2 today (9 August).
Dr. KK will have to get on the winning side in their remaining matches against Johannesburg, Buffalo City and Cape Winelands.
So far Tshwane looks like the team to beat in Potchefstroom.

The second day of the 2022 SA Netball championships on (Tuesday, 9 August) also saw Dr. Kenneth Kaunda’s u.21 team pick up an important victory against Mangaung.
The u.21’s won 35-23, spearheaded by a superb display from centre Kaliah Ferreira.

In other senior A matches on Women’s Day (9 August) Tshwane kept their unbeaten run this far with a 34-32 win against Johannesburg.
Cape Winelands also beat Buffalo City 41-28.

Dr. KK will next play Buffalo City tomorrow (10 August) in what is a must win game.
